Gilwell Park Residential Update: Please click here for latest information. - Thu 30 Apr 2015

Wednesday 29th April

-  The children have arrived safely at the activity centre.  The reps unloaded all the luggage and took them into the cabins so that the children can start their activities straight away, Thank you!.

3.45pm - All the children got stuck in with the activities planned for the day, luckily missing the rain. After eating a warm lunch the children got into their groups and went to climb the 'Wall'.  The children shot up the wall like Spiderman!.

The children are safe and in good health and will be getting ready to rest for the evening.

Thursday 30th April

2.30pm - The children started the day off with a nice healthy breakfast followed by activities planned for the day. The first activity was the 3G Swing.  An exciting event in itself. The children strapped themselves in safety equipment and boarded the 20ft high swing, pulled back and catapult down. Whilst some children were on the 3G swing, a group of children went kayaking, other went to the Wall and the final group went to the Racing track. Using peddle cars, Habbib and Anisa were whizzing around like Lewis Hamilton, while Mustafa took poll position throughout race but managed to lose at the finishing line. Unfortunately he veered off the track! Nevermind Mustafa.

Friday 1st May

 - The children are wide(ish) awake and ready to rumble!

10.45am - As you can see from the gallery below, the children have been and are really enjoying themselves.
Unfortunately, all good things come to an end. The children will soon rotate for final activities before going inside for lunch.

2.30pm - The children are boarding the coach on return to Old Palace. We should arrive to school at approx 3.15pm.

The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Some children said  "next time we should extend the residential!"

Next year Phassell Wood.... Here we come!
