Y4 Gilwell Park Residential Updates - Fri 05 May 2017

3rd May 2017

The children boarded the coach early morning. Farewell family and friends.
On arrival at the park, the children had an induction meeting followed by a prep talk by the scout leader on activities planned for the day and health and safety tips.

All the children have had a great afternoon doing different activities. They are definitely busy working up an appetite for dinner. Its great to see the groups working together as a team and also concurring their fears! Crate stacking, 3G swing, Wall climbing and Go-Karts are just some of the activities they have participated in so far.

They are all having a great time and are safe and well.

4th May 2017

All the children had a good night sleep last night. They are now full of energy after a full breakfast and are preparing for a full day of activities.  Aero ball, archery and leap of faith are some of the activities for today...

The children are very excited about roasting marshmallows on the camp fire this evening.  The sun is finally coming out. We are all happy and safe and well!

Everyone has had a busy day of activities. Archery has proven very popular and the children have shown very impressive Kayaking skills on the water. They will have a lot to talk about tomorrow.  So far all the groups have taken on every challenge, there is no stopping them! They are looking forward to dinner later, everyone is having an awesome time!

5th May 2017

The sun is out and breakfast has been eaten and the children are now participating in their final 2 activities of the trip. They had a great night last night singing around the camp fire and eating roasted marshmallows. The group are all packed up ready for the journey home. They have all had a great time and will definitely sleep tonight. We will be leaving here at 2pm and arriving at school at approximately 3pm... see you soon.
